Committee E-Mailing List

The Interprofessional Health Committee wants to inform you about a new listserv that has been created to facilitate communication and discussion among UW-Madison faculty and staff interested in interdisciplinary health sciences education. This listserv, called “interdisciplinary-health,” will provide a forum for sharing ideas, announcements, experiences, and concerns about interdisciplinary health sciences education at UW-Madison. “Interdisciplinary health sciences” is broadly defined to include any health-oriented discipline or health-focused academic or professional interest. Examples of topics of interest for this list include announcements of courses relevant to multiple health sciences programs, sharing references or examples of interdisciplinary health sciences education from other universities, and discussing ideas about how to improve opportunities for interdisciplinary education on this campus and in the future Health Sciences Learning Center. Any other related issues can also be raised or discussed.

Please join your UW-Madison health sciences colleagues who are working to enhance interdisciplinary health sciences learning on the campus and subscribe to the interdisciplinary-health list by sending an email to:

Leave the subject line blank. Be sure your left margin is set to zero. Turn off your signature block if you have one. Key in the following on the first line of your email:

Subscribe interdisciplinary-health Your Name

Hit send. That’s all there is to it. When you subscribe, you will get a “Welcome” message that describes the mission of the list and examples of relevant contributions.

The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Curriculum and Student Affairs Committee reports to the Health Sciences Council and is chaired by Dr. Scott Spear and Jane Banning.

The Committee encourages your participation in this listserv. Your contributions will help make it a great resource for everyone interested in interdisciplinary health sciences education.
